On the change of program with the Australian Open, which starts on Sunday, the Serb explained: "Even at the Roland Garros it starts on Sunday. I think it's done to reorganize the schedule and help in the opening week, which is always very full of scheduled games. Let's see if it works."

Djokovic naturally spoke about his injured wrist at the United Cup, reassuring his millions of fans. "My wrist is fine. I had time from the last match against Alex De Minaur in the United Cup to my first match here to recover. I trained well. Let's see how it goes in the game. De Minaur played great in the United Cup. He entered the top 10 for the first time in his career but it was not a surprise for me. He can do great things. Obviously Lleyton Hewitt by his side as a mentor is good for him."

Novak then talked about his real ambition, which is to win the career Golden Slam this year. "It's no secret that I clearly say that I want to win every slam I go to. I participate and play. It's no different this year. I just hope I can start the season the way I've started most of my seasons in my career which is with a win here in Australia, in Melbourne. My favorite place, without a doubt. We have an Olympic year. Grand Slams, Olympics, these are the big goals. I'll have to see how it goes here and think about everything else then," he explained.
