Tests showed a tear in the medial meniscus of the right knee: it was this injury that forced Novak Djokovic to withdraw from the Roland Garros. The tests gave this ruling which, in turn, issued a new sporting one: Jannik Sinner is the new ATP No.1. The beginning of a new era without the Big 3? Perhaps, because the great unknown now concerns Djokovic's next few months. Because there is a month left until the start of Wimbledon and then there will be the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

"I am really sad to announce that I have to withdraw from Roland Garros. I played with my heart and gave my all in yesterday's match and unfortunately, due to a tear in the medial meniscus of my right knee, my team and I have had to make a difficult decision after careful reflection and analysis. I wish the players competing this week good luck and I sincerely thank the incredible fans for all the love and continued support, Nole." wrote the Serbian through his Instagram account.

Nole will do everything he can to recover in time, but arriving at these two important events in the best conditions will be like a Mission Impossible. Djokovic was forced to withdraw from Paris just before the quarter-final against Casper Ruud. Yesterday afternoon, the Serbian champion managed to achieve a real feat by beating Francisco Cerundolo in the fifth set despite the knee injury which turned out to be quite serious.
