The former World No.1 shared his emotions with the media after the meeting, ensuring that he is well physically and that he has not had any problems.

Novak Djokovic had doubts

Speaking with Ivan Ljubicic after his debut in London, Novak Djokovic talked about his injury: “From the first moment after the surgery I wasn’t thinking about Wimbledon honestly.”

The champion of 98 ATP titles detailed how he started the commitment against the Czech and how the passage of minutes allowed him to raise his confidence and play without limitations.

"I started with some caution, perhaps without forcing a hundred percent. I played well enough to win with confidence in three sets. I felt as the minutes passed I started to move better and better.

There were points -one allowed me to break my opponent- in which I tried to 'slide' on the grass and that was something I had not even done in training. I’m very happy to be able to do it, because sometimes you can hesitate mentally.

Knowing that you can make certain moves is comforting," remarked the bacanic player. In the second round of the British tournament, Djokovic will meet a local hope and guest of the organization, Jacob Fearnley.

"I have never seen him play, so I will have to study. I know he has received a wild card and I will analyze his game today. Fans will be on their side and no one likes to face a British tennis player at Wimbledon.

I am looking forward to the second round to maintain that form that allows me to compete at the highest level in matches at the best of five sets", finished Novak Djokovic.
