The 21-year-old then explained the most important progress on these changes: "I would say about service and response, especially in this tournament. The first four shots in tennis are very important, especially on the grass, because there are usually not such long exchanges.

I try to improve especially in this respect. I think I have shown it against Halys, who has a great joke and gives his best for the rest. I needed to be ready with my legs to be prepared by the answer," he said.

Holger Rune is ready for the match against Novak Djokovic: "I expect a tough battle. This is always the case when you play against Novak Djokovic. He is one of the toughest tennis players of all time and one of the most successful. I expect a very high level.

I know he had surgery recently, but I actually trained with him the first week, and he seems to be moving well, with confidence. I’ll have to express my best tennis if I want a chance to beat him. This is what I will try to do".

Changes are inevitable, time is unstoppable and as in life, tennis also lives generational changes. Since the departure of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal’s fight to compete at the highest level once again and the battle of Djokovic against the clock, are some of the stages on a professional gentlemen’s circuit that also watches with excitement and amazement the rise of young stars like Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who have won four Grand Slams so far and who have already won first place in the ranking.

Another one who is considered to be one of the greats of the future is the Dane Holger Rune, who remains a promise and who hopes to exploit his talent to ascend to the heights that have already reached the Spanish and Italian.
