Novak Djokovic: ´France is Slightly Favorite to Win Davis Cup´

There are two titles to assign this season. Only two and the 2014 season of tennis will officially be archived. One is the ATP World Tour Finals title to be assigned in London, the other is the Davis Cup title to be given out at the end of November in France.

About Davis Cup, World No.1 Novak Djokovic thinks he knows who the favorite is, and surprisingly it is not Roger Federer and his Swiss team. "To me it is an open contest. France will play at home and that is a huge advantage, because the crowd is on your side and you get to chose the venue and the surface of play.

On the other side though, there are two great players such as Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka, who together form a great team. The Swiss team will be very motivated to win. It will be interesting to see who will prevail" said the World No.1 to the media.

The Davis Cup final will be played indoor, in Lille, on clay courts. The French have selected their team (check who the 4 players are) to face Federer and Wawrinka. Surprisingly, few weeks ago Roger Federer was seen practicing on red clay indoor courts (check the photos here), despite Roger being in Basel to defend the final on indoor hard courts.

Simon has already asked his French fans to respect a little less Roger Federer, always very much loved by the French tennis followers, and cheer out loud for France in the final. Who will win?
