The resounding defeat of Novak Djokovic in Rio against Juan Martin del Potro has started having further effects. As reported by our colleagues of puntodebreak.com and by Alex Krstanovic on Twitter, the Serbian has confirmed that he will not play any tournament until the US Open.
This means that the world no. 1 will not play the Cincinnati Masters, which will start from August 14th. He's also not playing mixed doubles in Rio. The Serb, after his disappointing loss, has decided to rest for a few days and thoroughly prepare for the US Open, which will start in New York from 29th August.
