Gebhard Gritsch was one of the three members of Novak Djokovic's team who exited the Serbian's team in May 2017, when the former world no. 1 wanted to make changes to turnaround his career. In a recent interview with Informer, Gritsch, Djokovic's former fitness trainer, admitted that he would be happy to work with his long-time client again, now that Vajda is back in Novak's corner.
'Novak is a friend of mine, he can count on my help always, so if he calls me, I will consider returning to the team,' said Gritsch, who worked with Djokovic from 2009 to 2017. 'We were often in contact this year.
We spoke about the life. First of all, we are friends. Novak should first decide what he wants and in which direction his career will continue. He needs to find his path. He is smart and takes good decisions. If it wasn't like this, he wouldn't have gotten so much success.' He also commented on the co-operation between Vajda and Djokovic. 'I didn't know [about] it.
Well, it's great! Vajda is a man with an unbelievable energy and can help Novak a lot.' ALSO READ: Novak Djokovic has chosen his new coach - Here is who
