Novak Djokovic had an amazing second half to the 2018 season winning Wimbledon, Cincinnati, US Open and Shanghai titles, but he ended the year with a loss to Alexander Zverev in the ATP Finals' final.
Tennis pundit Catherine Whitaker believes Djokovic may be worried by the defeat against the German. 'It sounds ridiculous given how brilliant Djokovic has been in every match in recent times, but is there a course of alarm? To be playing brilliant tennis and to feel unbeatable and how fantastically relaxed he is, he’s not letting this talk of Federer having ‘special treatment’ get to him,' Whitaker said speaking on The Tennis Podcast.
'To be feeling that brilliant and to be beaten as soundly as he was [by Zverev] must just feel a bit worrying for him. Two consecutive final losses, it’s still been exceptional year and he’s the best player of the year but he’s a perfectionist.' Djokovic is currently in Maldives enjoying holidays with his wife Jelena and their two children, daughter Tara and son Stefan.
On Instagram, Jelena shared a photo featuring her at the sea and wrote: 'I love how Instagram makes us all look good. But the truth is - to caption this, hubby was holding the shutter button the whole time because I could only hold my balance for less than a second.
Good job amore! As for the sunset, I have no excuse for that perfection. It just is.' ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
