Novak Djokovic is already focused on winning French Open, says pundit

In an interview to Sky Sport the pundit Elena Pero commented on Novak Djokovic's loss to Roberto Bautista Agut in Miami. Pero believes Djokovic got influenced by extra tennis things. "He is the player's council president, he was busy with the matter about Chris Kermode and he was not calm", admitted the Italian.

"He did not play his best tennis, he is a bit distracted by politics and, also, winning the Miami Open for the seventh time doesn't basically change anything. There are nine Masters 1000 tournaments in the season!

While this year he may have the chance to conquer the Calendar Grand Slam and he feels he has good chances because his old rivals are not as consistent as before. Nadal takes care of his body and he is heading into the most important part of the season.

Djokovic knows the French Open is his toughest Major and he knows he will have to beat Nadal." Pero believes it will be exciting to watch the Miami Open: "There are the 2000s like Felix Auger-Aliassime, 99s like Denis Shapovalov, 98s like Frances Tiafoe.

There is a next generation that starts making a breakthrough. Denis and Stefanos Tsitsipas played amazing tennis until late at night." On Nick Kyrgios, Pero concluded: "The Australian has an unconventional way to handle his matches.

Coric had left the court for a toilet break so it's nothing serious. The worst thing is when he does not make an effort during the match. He creates buzz, it's nice to have so many funny characters."
