Novak Djokovic: 'Zverev knows how to play big matches. But I am confident'

In an interview to the Serbian reporters, as quoted by Sport Klub, Novak Djokovic previewed his upcoming match in the French Open against Alexander Zverev. The world no. 1 has not dropped off any set so far. "I am very satisfied with the matches played so far.

I will have an opponent, Alexander Zverev, one of the best tennis players in the world, who is not going through his best physical shape this year. He did not achieve meaningful results but that does not mean he will not play at the level he used to in the last years.

I expect the best from him because even if he is relatively young, he is a very solid player and experienced who knows how to play big matches. He is a strong serve that is similar to Struff's. But Zverev is a better player from the baseline.

Now we are going toward the final tournament stages, I like my chances as long as i play well", said Djokovic. Zverev won their most recent match in the last year's London ATP Finals championship clash. "In London there was an interesting situation: I went through the groups stage pretty easily and then he beat me in the final.

Anything is possible, the surface is different as well as the circumstances, but it's not necessary to consider that. He moves well for his height and he raises his level in the final stages of a tournament. I will head into the event being very respectful towards him, but on the other side i am confident because I know my game and my level."
