Fabio Fognini commented on some tennis players like Novak Djokovic having a gluten free diet. The Italian doesn't plan to add something like this to his diet anytime soon. "I think it's famous. Many people follow it and they do not even know how it works really.
The gluten free diet are good if the athlete is really against some certain foods like Djokovic is otherwise you need to eat healthy and multiple things in order to take energy", said the 32-year-old Arma di Taggia native.
Fognini added: "During the match I drink from two to three litres of water on a regular basis plus some energy bars because I almost always play in hot and humid weather conditions that make me sweat a lot. But I start drinking much before the match starts in order not to get desidrathated."
Asked if he celebrates his titles with a glass of champagne, Fognini replied: "The alcohol is the worst enemy, so you have to be very cautuous about it because it doesn't make you have extra energy. Let's say that a beer once a week never hurt anyone but I do not definitely have some wine at lunch all the time."
