In an interview to SuperTennis TV the strategy analyst Craig O'Shannessy spoke highly of the 18-year-old Jannik Sinner. O'Shannessy said: "He is very much a big ball striker player. He needs to control the shot rallies.
He doesn't lose court coverage on first and second serves. He was very good in the first two rounds and he needs to continue this way." O'Shannessy also made some comparisons between Djokovic and Sinner: "His strokes are very simple exactly like Novak's.
I pay particular more attention to the ball and the ball speed is great. They are very similar." O'Shannessy works both with Novak Djokovic and Matteo Berrettini who will face each other at the ATP Finals in London: "The match against Novak will be tough for the Italian", admitted O'Shannessy.
"Novak is very good against players that bring a lot of power. He deals that power well. The matches against Federer and Thiem will be decisive and I think he has a big chance to win both." Berrettini had spoken highly of Rafael Nadal during the US Open: "He's the greatest fighter ever in this sport.
It's unbelievable he's doing. I admire him, like, the way he's on the court, you know. Like his attitude is something that it's -- I think it's close to the perfection. He's always, like, 5-0, 40-Love down, he's always there. It's something that's not that easy to do. So bravo."
