Novak Djokovic's strategy analyst praises Karen Khachanov

Novak Djokovic's strategy analyst Craig O'Shannessy spoke to ESPN.com about the next generation of tennis, mentioning a player in particular who can go far and make further progress. "I see Khachanov as a top-five guy.

His attitude is ridiculously good, and he's excellent at the net. He knows how to use the angles and hardly misses a volley", said O'Shannessy. Khachanov won his maiden Masters 1000 title at the Paris Masters last year defeating Novak Djokovic in a straight-set final.

Meanwhile, Boris Becker praised Roger Federer: 'Even the way he talks, he’s a very smart man. Five, six languages? It’s crazy. So there was always something special about him but for him to keep the consistency, and really the hunger, for so long is something I didn’t expect.

He cares. He’s our sport’s best ambassador — probably that we’ve ever had — and it’s important we have such a leader Juan Martin del Potro never played the Davis Cup after winning the title for Argentina in 2016.

That year it was really freedom for the current world No. 5, who had helped his country to win an unbelievable final against Croatia in Zagreb. Argentina's Tennis Federation chief Agustin Calleri said del Potro may return to play the Davis Cup in 2019 as the final stage will be played over just one week.

'You have chances of a comeback', said Calleri speaking of del Potro. 'We will always keep the doors open for anyone who wants to come back. We always have hope. The new format will be much better for the players. If Juan has a good year physically, he can definitely end in the second rankings place because Federer will drop and Nadal has an affected body.'
