Nicolas Jarry aware of difficulties facing Djokovic and others at ATP Cup

In an interview with wirh La Tercera, Chilean player Nicolas Jarry spoke about the ATP Cup where his country will face Serbia's Novak Djokovic, France's Gael Monfils and South Africa's Kevin Anderson. Jarry said: "It will be tough.

A lot of anxiety to have a new tournament. A good start to the year, competitive. Everyone will get with more matches in our body and our level will increase." Lukasz Kubot is also looking forward to playing the ATP Cup.

He said: "I like the weather, always. When you come back from Europe, Down Under there is always guaranteed (warm) weather. I have a lot of friends there, especially from Sydney where we stay and visit my friends. We stay together as a kind of Polish community.

This is a very special thing. Of course, visiting the cities like Sydney, the opera is always nice to come back there. Especially spending the New Year’s there is great, there are always positive vibes." Romanian Simona Halep reacted to Francesca Schiavone saying that, after dealing with cancer, she would like to coach the Romanian player.

Halep said: "I am very happy and honored that Francesca thought about me. She was always a great fighter, one who never gives up, and I also got inspired by her that I grew as a player. I was very sad knowing she dealt with cancer, but I was not surprised at all for how she faced the disease and how she beat it. Now, Francesca just try to recover at your best, I am looking forward to seeing you on the courts again."
