Serbian world No. 159 Viktor Troicki has the highest possible opinion a tennis player could have about another player as he is heavily impressed by the abilities of fellow compatriot Novak Djokovic. Troicki, 33, and 32-year-old Djokovic came up big in the deciding rubber of the ATP Cup final against Spain as they saw off in straight sets Pablo Carreno Busta and Feliciano Lopez to hand Serbia the ATP Cup title.
16-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic was absolutely phenomenal at the ATP Cup as he won each of his six singles matches and also won the two doubles matches in which he teamed up with Troicki. "He (Djokovic) is unique, that's the explanation," Troicki told Sport Klub.
"I even can't describe him with the words, what he is doing is unbelievable, sometimes I think 'is this even real?' Even when his rivals are playing the much better tennis -- Kevin Anderson and Gael Monfils played great against him (at the ATP Cup) -- they were outsmarting him at times but he's always tough, mentally strong and he kept himself in the matches and he knew he would survive their runs.
"I don't know how he does all of this. Probably, when you get to that level, mentally you are becoming stronger and stronger. That's why the Big Three is still on top and I don't believe we will again see three dominant champions."
