Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic will team up with his fellow compatriot Viktor Troicki to play the doubles at the opening Masters event of the season in Indian Wells, per Michal Samulski. Djokovic, 32, and 34-year-old Troicki are set to play in Indian Wells together for the fourth time in their respective careers as the two will share the same side of the net in the desert for the first time since 2017.
Djokovic and Troicki, who debuted at the Indian Wells Masters in 2011, made the quarterfinal in their first appearance at the tournament but suffered a first round loss at the tournament a year later. It took five years to see Djokovic and Troicki play the doubles in Indian Wells once again up as the Serbians made their second quarterfinal in their return to the tournament three years ago.
Djokovic's lone doubles appearance in 2020 came at the ATP Cup, where he and Troicki defeated Spain's Pablo Carreno Busta and Feliciano Lopez in the deciding rubber of the final to give Serbia the inaugural ATP Cup trophy.
