Joao Sousa: I support Novak Djokovic's initiative, I'll donate money

World No. 66 Joao Sousa says he is all good with Novak Djokovic's initiative to help lower-ranked players as the Portuguese himself is ready to donate money. Djokovic, ranked at No. 1 in the world, has proposed that top-100 players each donate from 5000 - 30,000 to help player relief -- the money gathered would be distributed to those most affected by the Tour suspension.

The Tour has been suspended for over a month now and several high-ranked players have publicly stated that something needs to be done to help lower-ranked professionals as they may face huge financial difficulties during the suspension.

"It is an idea that came from Djokovic, who is the leader of the ATP Players Council. He contacted us via WhatsApp," Sousa told Bola Amarela. "It's a good idea. For my part I am available to help. There are some criteria that have to be well analyzed."
