ATP MUNICH - Only two matches played, Del Potro and Fognini postponed until Tomorrow

Only two matches played today because of the snow. Florian Mayer beat his compatriot Matthias Bachinger 6-4 6-4 and will play another compatriot, Philipp Kohlschreiber. Evgeny Donskoy retired down 6-2 3-0 against Mikhail Kukushkin, who will play Fabio Fognini or Maximiliam Martener next.

The Italian, as well as Del Potro-Brown, will play tomorrow and not today as scheduled Alexander Zverev started his match against Jaziri but the snow went down too hard and they suspended the match on 5-4 in favour of Jaziri, who will serve to win the first set tomorrow.

First round matches results, April 26: Florian Mayer (Germany) beat Matthias Bachinger (Germany) 6-4 6-4
Mikhail Kukushkin (Kazakhstan) beat Evgeny Donskoy (Russia) 6-2 3-0 (Donskoy retired) Meanwhile John Peers and Vasek Pospisil spoke about the snow to ATP Website.

'I have never seen anything like this before - Said Peers - Being Australian, it was definitely something different.' 'It was coming down pretty hard at one point - Pospisil declared - It was the first time I have played in snow as a professional, and I have to admit that, although I had played in snow as a youngster growing up in Canada, I didn’t think it would ever happen again.

It actually made me feel right at home this week.'
