ATP Stuttgart: Wildcards Philipp Petzschner and Tim Puetz claim title

Wildcards Philipp Petzchner and Tim Puetz have captured the 2018 Stuttgart men's doubles title. The German pair beat doubles specialists Robert Lindstedt and Marcin Matkowski in the final 7-6 (5) 6-3. Petzschner and Puetz were 5-4 down in the first set tie-break but then won three points in a row to clinch the opener.

Petzschner and Puetz then kicked off the second set with a 3-0 lead and held on to their serve to seal the win. Petzschner and Puetz hit six aces and won 90 percent of their first serve points in an hour and seven minutes of play.

The German duo converted 1-of-4 of their break point chances and faced no break points during the match. It was the first ATP team doubles title for Petzschner and Peya -- who also won it all the Aix-en-Provence Challenger last month.

On the other side, Lindstedt and Matkowski played together for the second time this year. Previously, they lost in the French Open first round. Full result:
