The 8th seed Dusan Lajovic has scored his 13th win of the season after a 6-3 6-3 triumph over a qualifier Filip Horansky in exactly an hour. They played in Lyon in May and Dusan won that one as well, although it was an easier day in the office for him today, dropping 13 points in nine service games and saving one break point he faced to keep his serve intact. Horansky lost 40% of the points in his games and he had to play against eight break chances, getting broken three times and struggling to keep the pace from the baseline with his rival.
Dusan saved a break point in the opening game and he got the break in the very next game to build a 2-0 advantage that he carried throughout the set for a 6-3. After that loose service game Horansky raised his level to stay in touch until the third game of set number two when he gave his serve away on the fifth break point for Lajovic and the Serb sailed through his service games, losing one point in the entire set and sealing the deal with another break in game nine for the place in the second round.
