French Open: Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig defend mixed doubles title

Canadia's Gabriela Dabrowski and Croatian partner Mate Pavic have once again failed to beat Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig in a French Open final as Chan and Dodig have successfully defended their 2018 Roland Garros title. In a rematch of the 2018 French Open mixed doubles final, Chan and Dodig once again ended on the winning side as they claimed a 6-1 7-6 (5) win over second-seeded Dabrowski and Pavic.

Two two pairs were all tied at one game apiece after the opening two games before Chan and Dodig won five games in a row to cruise past the first set. Chan and Dodig then recovered from a break down in the second set to force a tie-break, where they realized their second match point to seal the win in an hour and 19 minutes of play.

Chan and Dodig won 76 percent of their first serve points and converted 3-of-5 of their break point chances on their way to winning the final. Chan, 29, and 34-year-old Dodig defended their French Open title in style as they didn't drop a single set in five matches played at the tournament this year.
