In the opening match of the last day at The Boodles -- in what was a battle between two tennis legends -- 2003 Wimbledon runner-up Mark Philippoussis defeated former world No. 4 Thomas Enqvist in straight sets 7-6 (5) 6-3.
As no breaks were seen -- the first set went into a tie-break -- where the Swede saved two consecutive set points but the Australian converted his third to win a tight opener. Philippoussis claimed the first break of the match in the second game of the second set and then held on to his serve to earn a straight-set win.
Meanwhile, world No. 33 Dusan Lajovic saw off Slovakia's Martin Klizan 6-3 6-2. One break of serve was enough for the Serb to claim the opening set, while he claimed two breaks of serve in the following set to collect a comfortable straight-set win in his last preparation for Wimbledon.
In the final match of the day, former world No. 8 Janko Tipsarevic eased past Great Britain's Liam Broady 6-3 6-2. The 35-year-old Serb broke the Briton in the second game of the first set and then held on to his serve to win the opening set.
World No. 287 Broady paid the price for blowing four break points in the second game of the second set as Tipsarevic broke the Briton in the third and seventh game to collect a straight-set win.
