ATP Cincinnati: Jamie Murray wins battle of Murray brothers

Jamie Murray has won the battle of the Murray brothers as he and partner Neal Skupski came from a set down against Andy Murray and Feliciano Lopez 6-7 (5) 7-5 10-4 to progress into the Cincinnati Masters semifinal. Andy Murray and Lopez blew an early first set break after losing the eighth game on a deciding point but kept their focus as they converted their first set point in the tie-break to claim a tight opener.

No break points were seen in the second set until the 11th game, when Jamie Murray and Skupski realized their third break point to win the game on a deciding point before serving out for a decider in the following game.

Andy Murray and Lopez led 3-2 after the opening five points of the match tie-break before they game completely fell apart as Jamie Murray and Skupski won eight of the following nine points to end on the winning side. Jamie Murray and Skupski won 85 percent of their first serve points and converted 2-of-7 of their break point chances in an hour and 45 minutes of play en route to setting up a semifinal meeting against Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek.
