ATP Finals: Rajeev Ram & Joe Salisbury keep semifinal chances alive

USA's Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury have earned their first win in Group Jonas Bjorkman at the Nitto ATP Finals. Ram and Salisbury came from a set down to beat Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek 3-6 6-3 10-6 and improve their record to 1-1 in the group.

Dodig and Polasek, who were beaten by Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo on the opening day, are now 0-2. Dodig and Polasek claimed the first break of the match in the fourth game, before they saved four consecutive break points in the ninth game to win the opener.

However, Ram and Salisbury kept their focus after missing out on multiple break points in the key moments of the opener. One break of serve was enough for Ram and Salisbury to force a decider as they didn't face a single break point in the second set.

Ram and Salisbury then came up big in the match tie-break as they realized their first match point to complete a comeback win. Ram and Salisbury won 77 percent of their first serve points and 88 percent of their second serve points in an hour and 17 minutes of play. Ram and Salisbury now have a day off as they will be battling against Kubot and Melo on Thursday.
