ATP Finals: Jean-Julien Rojer & Horia Tecau stay alive in SF race

Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau have earned their first win at this year's Nitto ATP Finals after beating Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 6-2 5-7 10-7. Rojer and Tecau cruised past the first set, having broken Cabal and Farah twice to easily win the opener.

Cabal and Farah struggled on their serve early on the match but served much better in the second set as they saved the lone break point they faced in the set. The Colombians failed to convert any of their two break points in the ninth game of the second set but claimed their first break two games later to force a decider.

After winning the second set, Cabal and Farah failed to maintain the same of level play at the beginning of the match tie-break as Rojer and Tecau took an early 6-2 lead. However, Cabal and Farah did manage to work their way back into the match tie-break and take an 8-7 lead but still failed to clinch a comeback win after losing the next three points.

Rojer and Tecau now have a 1-1 record in Group Mac Mirnyi, while Cabal and Farah are now 0-2 in the group. In the evening session, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut will be taking on Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies.
