Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff enjoyed an outstanding day at the office on Sunday as the Pole and the American clinched very dominant wins to secure French Open quarterfinal tickets.

Swiatek, seeded at No. 1, demolished world No. 41 Anastasia Potapova 6-0 6-0 in just 40 minutes to reach her fifth French Open quarterfinal.

Meanwhile, No. 3 seed Gauff wasn't as dominant as Swiatek but it was still a huge win as the American dropped a total of three games en route to securing a 6-1 6-2 win over 51st-ranked Elisabetta Cocciaretto.

For a place in the French Open semifinal, Swiatek will play against reigning Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova, who defeated Olga Danilovic 6-4 6-2 on Sunday.

On the other side, Gauff is scheduled to meet next three-time Grand Slam finalist Ons Jabeur, who overcame Clara Tauson 6-4 6-4.

How Swiatek & Gauff won their French Open round-of-16 matches

Against Potapova, Swiatek won the first set in the most dominant way possible as the Pole broke Potapova three times - didn't allow the Russian to even have a game point - and she also didn't face a single break.

The second set was no different as Swiatek again claimed three breaks without Potapova having a single game or break point.

In the Gauff and Cocciaretto match, the American started the match with a comfortable 5-1 lead before serving out for the first set in the seventh game.

At the start of the second set, Gauff and Cocciaretto traded breaks and were tied to one game apiece after the opening two games. Then, Gauff went on to routinely complete a two-set win after breaking Cocciaretto in the third and seventh games of the second set.

If Swiatek and Gauff win their next matches, they will meet in the French Open semifinal - and it will be a rematch of the 2022 final at Roland Garros.
