Former world No. 4 Bianca Andreescu is now just one win away from winning her first title since the 2019 US Open after the Canadian defeated Dalma Galfi to reach the 's-Hertogenbosch final.

Andreescu, who is currently ranked at No. 228 in the world and playing just her second tournament since returning from a back injury at the French Open, ousted world No. 138 Galfi 6-4 6-2.

On Sunday, Andreescu will be playing against either No. 2 seed Liudmila Samsonova or third-seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova for the 's-Hertogenbosch title. For Andreescu, it will also be her first final in exactly two years - the Canadian tennis star lost to Caroline Garcia in the Bad Homburg final during the 2022 grass season.

If Andreescu wins the 's-Hertogenbosch title on Sunday, it will be a double delight for the Canadian, who is also set to celebrate her 24th birthday tomorrow.

How Andreescu beat Galfi to reach the 's-Hertogenbosch final?

Andreescu started the match by breaking Galfi in the very first game of the match but her lead was short-lived after Galfi managed to get the break back in the fourth game. However, Andreescu kept her focus after blowing an early break as the 2019 US Open broke Hungary's Galfi again in the seventh game before realizing her first set point on her serve three games later.

The second set then started just like the first set, with Andreescu breaking Galfi in the opening game. But this time, Andreescu didn't blow her early break. Instead, she broke Galfi again in the fifth game to go up by a double-break.

Down by a set and two breaks, Galfi had two break points in the sixth game but Andreescu saved them to go 5-1 up and keep the Hungarian at a big distance.

Serving for the match in the eighth game, Andreescu faced a bit of difficulty but managed to save a break point before converting her second match point to seal a two-set win over Galfi.
