Agnieszka Radwanska and Alison Riske will be playing tomorrow for the first title of the year, after securing a spot into the final of the Shenzhen Open both in straight sets. World no. 5 keeps going in her positive moment as she defeated German Anna-Lena Friedsam 6-2 6-4.

The difference between the two players was just too big today and the Pole had an easy start to grab the first set 6-2. The only shaky moment came in the second set when, up 2-1 with a break, no. 1 seed lost her serve in the fourth game to bring Friedsam back in the game on 2-2.

It was just a fraction, as Radwanska took back the break and went on until the end of the match, that she closed in the tenth game. The Pole has now won 21 of her 25 last matches and thanks to today’s victory she will pass Maria Sharapova in the WTA Ranking, securing the World No.

4. Radwanska, who is seeking her first Grand Slam title and is approaching Australian Open as one of the main favourite, will battle for the title of the Shenzhen Open against Alison Riske. The American came out winning the other semifinal against Hungarian Timea Babos, who had previously defeated Monica Niculescu and Eugenie Bouchard, and sealed the match with a convincing 6-2 6-4.
