Tennis- 3 seeded players were shown exit door at the BMW Malaysian Open WTA Tournament as the top seed Roberta Vinci, Fourth seed Annika Beck and eighth seed Saisai Zheng faced losses whereas second seed Elina Svitolina advaced into the next round.

World No.10 Vinci had won the St. Petersburg title last month but since then her record has not been too impressive as she lost in the first round of Dubai and Quarterfinal of Doha last week. She faced Chinese Taipei's Kai-Chen Chang here, who is 143 ranks below her in the ranking.
