Francesca Schiavone doesn't stop. Beating Varvara Lepchenko 7/5 6/4 in two hours, the Italian player won her ninth match in a row and she reached her 20th career-final. It was a very important win for Schiavone, who reached her second final this year after the one won in Bogota': it didn't happen since 2009 that she played two back to back finals.
Today Schiavone was more cinical than her opponent in the key moments, and she made her life complicated converting "only" six set points on 15 in total. On Saturday Schiavone, who is playing in Rabat thanks to a wild card (the same thing will happen in Madrid, but not in her home tournament which is Rome), will face Anastasia Payluchenkova, who defeated another Italian player, Sara Errani, 6-4 6-0 after an hour and 17 minutes.
Errani struggled a lot on serve - she won 43% first serve points and 33% on second serve - and After the first set where she was broken twice in a row before breaking back once, in the second set there was no chance for her.
Pavlyuchenkova was just too strong, she hit 35 winners and tomorrow she will bid to win her tenth career-title, the second one this year after Monterrey, on 15 finals played in her career. WTA RABAT - Semifinals matches results on Friday:
