US OPEN - Women's Singles: Kuznetsova upset! Keys, Radwanska through

The 2004 US Open Svetlana Kuznetsova was upset by Kurumi Nara by 6-3 3-6 6-3. It was a bad day for the Russian player, who wasn't cinical in the key moments and didn't play aggressive as she should have done. Coco Vandeweghe's run continues.

The American player, who reached Australian Open semifinals and Wimbledon quarters this year, defeated Ons Jabeur 7-6 (6) 6-2 to advance into the third round. The first set was very balanced: Jabeur saved three set points in a row on 5-6, then in the tie-break the Tunisian didn't convert two set points and Vandeweghe managed to close it.

She will face in the third round Agnieszka Radwanska, who beat Yulia Putintseva 7-5 6-2. Radwanska was down a break twice in the first set but she managed to win it. Shuai Zhang defeated Risa Ozaki while Lucie Safarova, Elena Vesnina and Madison Keys also advanced.
