Agnieszka Radwanska's bad season continues. The Polish player, who dropped to No. 18 in the WTA Rankings after not being able to defend Beijing title last week, lost to the Australian Samantha Stosur in the second round. The 2011 Roland Garros champion prevailed by 6-0 in the third set after two hours, she is back to win two matches in a row since Roland Garros, which was her last tournament before coming back to compete in the Asian swing last month.

Stosur will face Qiang Wang or Luksika Khumkum in the quarter-finals. But the biggest upset is made by Naomi Osaka, who upset Venus Williams, who was competing in her first tournament since US Open. Venus served to win first set on 5-4, but she was broken at 15.
