Some WTP events have distributed national points as well as international WTP points. In 2022 Ystad, Ahus (both in Sweden), Kiel, Ahrensburg, Kronshagen (all three in Germany), Salzburg, Seefeld (Austria), and Pennsylvania (USA) has become engaged and long-term partners for the WTP Tour.
During the covid-19 pandemic, it was really difficult for the players to maintain a competitive consistency. Therefore, the WTP board has decided that all players may keep their WTP points until some normality occurs. As always, also this year each winner of a WTP event (2019-2022) qualifies directly for the Lexus Ellensohn WTP Champions Trophy by BauFi Direkt between 9th-11th December 2022 in Seefeld.
At this year's event, all players will have hospitality and 14.000 euro (7000 euros for men and 7000 euros for women) will be distributed. Prizemoney will be distributed in the 2nd round. The WTP Tour is happy to be able to support all players and coaches to get as many quality matches as close to their homes as possible.
Through the WTP complementary world tour initiative and the interaction with ITF, WTA, and ATP tournaments WTP is, the only organization worldwide, connecting national and international tournaments into one network and entity.
WTP Tour sees a need for prize money tournaments that also can be combined as independent prize money tournaments, pre-qualifications in the future, or as a separate tour attached to a World Ranking. More and more upcoming global players are following our example.
However, good things are always copied. Nevertheless, we are proud to notice that our original thoughts are used by other organizations. That is motivating us to continue our strive for the tennis market improvement. Finally, it is important to communicate that WTP Tour is simultaneous, a platform for sponsors.
The possibility to enter a complete program instead of supporting only one athlete is extraordinary. WTP is offering absolute continuity and resilience for our partners and members. During 2021 Lexus Ellensohn and BauFi Direkt supported WTP Tour.
