Rafael Nadal on Instagram: "I feel alive"

A message of love and gratitude to life. This is how Rafael Nadal's Instagram post could be described at the end of his triumphant victory in the Australian Open semifinal against Matteo Berrettini, which will lead him to compete for the title in Australia for the sixth time in his career, two years after the clear defeat against Novak.

Djokovic. The Mallorcan tennis player played a tournament against all odds, given his suboptimal physical condition, which had questioned his participation in the first slam of the year. After struggling in the quarter-finals against the Canadian Shapovalov, in the semifinal on Friday against Berrettini the 20 slam champion expressed exceptional tennis for the first two sets, suffering a physical decline in the third set but recovering in the fourth set and using the only balls break granted by the Italian in the ninth game, ultimately imposing himself with a score of 6-3 6-2 3-6 6-4.

The final against Medvedev represents a great opportunity for Nadal to detach Djokovic and Federer, still at 20 slams, and to complete a career Double Slam (winning all four Majors twice).

Nadal's words on Instagram

The 20-time slam champion was particularly pleased with the way he struggled to play at a high level in Melbourne after returning from a long break with injury.

Posting some shots of his exultation after the success in the semifinals, accompanied by a brief description, Nadal expressed all his joy for the result achieved. "Ultimately, life is about happiness and what makes us happy.

For me it's also about being able to do what I do, play tennis. I feel alive in terms of my tennis life, my tennis career and I'm super happy to be back in the Australian Open final. I am happy to have a chance. Thank you for all the support and I will try to do my best in the final on Sunday," wrote the Spanish.

In a few hours the post received more than 600,000 likes and lots of complimenting comments, including that of compatriot Bautista-Agut and that of the US Open, who through the official profile of the tournament expressed words of love towards Rafa: “Seeing you makes us happy”.
