Rafael Nadal speaks on how much Real Madrid means to him

21-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal reveals he watched Real Madrid for the first time in Mallorca. Nadal, ranked at No. 5 in the world, is a huge football fan and Real Madrid is his favorite team. "The first time I watched Madrid live was here in Mallorca," Nadal said in the La Leyenda Blancos documentary, as quoted on Sportskeeda.

"My uncle was playing for Mallorca and I was. I was wearing a Madrid Shirt, and then he came out with Michel. I couldn't. I was there but I couldn't do it. I stayed there in the tunnel, as the situation got better of me. It's my earliest memory."

Nadal: It's part of my life

“I’m a huge football fan and Real Madrid is my favorite club.

It’s the club I support and love, it’s truly part of my life," Nadal added. Real Madrid is one of the most accomplished football teams in the game history. "Madrid will know how to renew, how to adapt to the times and the road to take to continue being an example in every sense," Nadal said.

Meanwhile, Nadal returned to Spain after winning the Australian Open. Nadal's next scheduled tournament is Acapulco, which starts in a week. "I signed up for Acapulco and Indian Wells, but I have to make a decision that are in accordance with what my body allows me to do.

Acapulco is the closer one, I would like to be there but I have to see what are the perspective," Nadal said Nadal made tennis history after pulling off a stunning comeback in this year's Australian Open final. Medvedev had a comfortable two-set lead and three consecutive break points to go 4-2 up in the third set but Nadal saved and created a historic comeback to lift a record 21st Grand Slam title.
