Pablo Carreno Busta comments on Rafael Nadal's greatness

Spanish tennis star Pablo Carreno Busta has dropped a major praise on Rafael Nadal, saying it will be really difficult to see "someone like Nadal ever again." Nadal, 35, is one of the greatest tennis players of all time and his comeback to tennis this year has been truly remarkable.

After playing in just one event in the second half of the 2021 season, Nadal returned to action this past January. Nadal, who was unsure whether he would be able to return in Australia, made the decision to fly Down Under.

In Australia, Nadal won back-to-back titles at the Melbourne Summer Set and Australian Open. "Rafael Nadal is someone who is almost incomparable, it will be truly difficult for us to see someone like him again," Carreno Busta told Marca, as quoted on Sportskeeda.

"He is in the fight with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic to be the best in history, we will see what happens."

Carreno Busta 'amazed' by Nadal's stunning victory

Nadal appeared to be on the brink of losing the Australian Open but then pulled off a stunning comeback to beat Russian Daniil Medvedev 2-6 6-7 (5) 6-4 6-4 7-5.

Medvedev was up by two sets, had a 3-2 lead in the third set and three consecutive break points on Nadal's serve. Nadal saved those three consecutive break points and that was the start of his magnificent comeback. "To win as he did against [Daniil] Medvedev [in the 2022 Australian Open final], losing by two sets to nil; against [Denis] Shapovalov [in the quarterfinal], where he recovered after his slump and beat him in the fifth; even with Berrettini [in the semifinals]," Carreno Busta said.

"It was not easy at all." Nadal now has a record 21 Grand Slam titles, while Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer are tied on the second place with 20 Majors each.
