Holger Rune explains why he finds Rafael Nadal as most impressive player

Riisng Danish star Holger Rune has revealed Rafael Nadal is the player he finds most impressive. On Tuesday, former French Open junior champion Rune held a Q&A session on Twitter. One of the players Rune received was to name the most impressive player.

Rune, who is enjoying a career-high ranking of No. 72 in the world, explained it's Nadal. "I think right now, Rafael Nadal because he finds this will to win in every match he is playing even though he is not all young and his body must suffer from many years on tour.

That's impressive," Rune said.

Nadal aiming to return in Madrid

Nadal, who sustained a rib stress fracture in Indian Wells, pulled out of the Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona Open.

This Monday, Nadal returned to the practice court. Toni Nadal revealed the hope is Nadal will be able to play in Madrid, which starts on May 1. "I think so. Rafa told me that he expected to play in Madrid. There are 15 days left to see if everything is progressing correctly and if he can be in really good shape.

Otherwise it could be complicated for Roland‐Garros which is its main objective," Toni Nadal told RTVE. Meanwhile, Rune is not the only one that finds Nadal impressive. Daniil Medvedev's strength and conditioning coach Eric Hernandez recently explained why he finds Nadal impressive.

"I am really focused on the legs and the movement of the legs, because it is the most important thing for me. It is not easy to give you someone [other than Daniil Medvedev] because, for me, he is maybe the best when it comes to moving on the court," Hernandez said on The Functional Tennis Podcast.

"Someone like [Rafael] Nadal [is great too]. He is a legend of the sport and he can move amazingly even though he is old."
