Tennis: Former world number one Rafael Nadal is training with his childhood friend and former ATP player Bartolome Salva-Vidal, whom Nadal calls Tomeu. Nadal uploaded a picture on his facebook page in which he could be seen sitting with Salva after a training session.
The Spaniard wrote this caption under the picture, “Practising with my friend Tomeu Salva!” Although Rafa’s uncle and coach Toni Nadal had said that his nephew is not doing court training these days and only doing physical exercise but Nadal has talked about his tennis practice for the second time in last one week.
Nadal had shared a picture few days back in which he could be wearing his shoes and his tennis racket was placed next to him. He had written this caption under the picture that time, “Ready to the practice!” Nadal is scheduled to be back in the first week of next month at the Rogers Cup in Montreal.
Uncle Toni is confident that the 26-year-old will bounce back and have nothing to lose during the summer hard court season in North America. The Spanish star was favorite to win this year’s Wimbledon but he got bowed out of the event after losing to low ranked Steve Darcis of Belgium in the first round.
It was quite strange because unlike last year Nadal was healthy and had reached the title match of all the nine events he had participated in prior to Wimbledon.
