Marcos Baghdatis: Carlos Alcaraz could be threat for Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic

Former Cypriot tennis star Marcos Baghdatis thinks Carlos Alcaraz has the game to compete against Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic and that he could definitely win the French Open. Alcaraz, Nadal and Djokovic are considered as top favorites for the French Open crown and Baghdatis agrees with that claim.
Alcaraz has proved that he is capable of beating Nadal and Djokovic on clay as he beat them en route to winning Madrid. However, beating Nadal and Djokovic in a best-of-five-sets is a completely different story but Baghdatis thinks Alcaraz could do that at the French Open.
When it comes to Wimbledon and the US Open, Baghdatis would give the advantage to Nadal and Djokovic. “For sure, Carlos [Alcaraz]…[Novak] Djokovic and [Rafael] Nadal will be there until the end of this year too… It’s tough to say that [the other players] will defeat Nadal or Djokovic, in five sets – it’s very difficult," Baghdatis said, per Tennishead.
“The only one that maybe can – depending on how long he can last mentally and physically in a grand slam – is [Carlos] Alcaraz, for sure on clay. At Wimbledon I see Djokovic, and the other tournaments I see Djokovic and Rafael [Nadal]”.
Alcaraz feels ready to win a Grand Slam
Alcaraz turned 19 this month but he has already accomplished some pretty notable results. After winning his maiden Masters title in Miami, Alcaraz won his second Masters title in Madrid.
Following his great results, Alcaraz climbed up to a career-high ranking of No. 6 in the world. Alcaraz has stated several times this clay season that he feels mentally and physically ready to win a Grand Slam. Alcaraz has played three tournaments this clay season and he has only one loss.
Alcaraz didn't make it far in Monte Carlo but claimed titles in Barcelona and Madrid. It remains to be seen if Alcaraz can become the next teenage Grand Slam champion.
