Here is Rafael Nadal's outfit for Wimbledon (PICS)

Record 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has confirmed he intends to compete at Wimbledon and his outfit for the third Grand Slam of the season has been revealed.

Nadal, who turned 36 earlier this month, was taking anaesthetic injections and painkillers for two weeks straight at the French Open to numb the pain in his foot.

After winning the French Open, Nadal returned to Spain, for a foot treatment. Nearly two weeks later, Nadal is feeling better and he is ready to compete at Wimbledon. Nadal won't play any ATP grass events leading up to Wimbledon, but he has decided to play the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic at the Hurlingham Club.

At the Hurlingham exhibition, Nadal plans to play two matches. “I experienced some improvements, different feelings on my foot, honestly. I take that like a positive thing,” Nadal said at the Mallorca Country Club.

“My intention is to travel to London next Monday, play two matches there before the tournament starts and just follow my normal schedule to prepare the best way possible [for] Wimbledon. Today, that’s all I can say.

I’m positive about that”.

On Monday, Nadal hit the grass courts for the first time this year. The foot treatment and early Wimbledon preparation have gone well as Nadal is now set to travel to London.

“I’m happy with the way I was able to practice the week here. I am excited to travel, to try to play Wimbledon after three years,” Nadal said. “I was able to practice the whole week, increasing a little bit the amount of work.

So I’m positive about that”. Nadal is set to play at Wimbledon for the first time since 2019. In 2019, Nadal reached the Wimbledon semifinal, before losing to Roger Federer. Nadal has won the opening two Grand Slams of the season and he is contention to clinch a Calendar Grand Slam.
