Nick Kyrgios reacts to Rafael Nadal withdrawing from their Wimbledon match

Nick Kyrgios has wished Rafael Nadal a quick recovery and also expressed his hope to meet the Spaniard soon on a tennis court. Kyrgios and Nadal were scheduled to meet in Friday's semifinal at Wimbledon but the Spaniard was forced to withdraw from their match due to an abdominal tear.

Following the Nadal withdrawal, Kyrgios has been through to his first Grand Slam final. "Different players, different personalities. Rafael Nadal, I hope your recovery goes well and we all hope to see you healthy soon, till next time," Kyrgios wrote on Instagram.

Nadal gave a walkover to Kyrgios

Nadal was visibly hampered by an abdominal injury during his quarterfinal match versus Taylor Fritz.

Nadal managed to win that match but it was evident that the Spaniard was clearly affected by the injury and some feared he would be forced to give a walkover to Kyrgios. "Unfortunately, as you can imagine if I am here, I have to pull out from the tournament, no?" Nadal said in a press conference he held on Thursday at Wimbledon.

"As everybody saw yesterday, I have been suffering with the pain in abdominal. Even if I tried lot of times during my career to keep going under very tough circumstances, in that one I think it's obvious that if I keep going, the injury going to be worst and worst.

That's the thing that I can say now. Feel very sad to say that." Nadal arrived to Wimbledon hoping to win it all and lift his third Grand Slam title of the year and keep his hopes of winning a Calendar Grand Slam alive. "As I always said, for me the most important thing is happiness more than any title, even if everybody knows how much effort I put to be here," Nadal added.

"But I can't risk that match and stay two, three months outside of the competition because that's going to be a tough thing for me."
