US Open 2022: Rafael Nadal's outfit unveiled!

After the season on grass-court and the injury suffered at Wimbledon, Rafael Nadal seems ready to take the court afain and face the season on North American hard-courts to play the three major events: the Masters 1000 in Montreal and Cincinnati and, above all, the US Open 2022.

In view of these great events, the Spaniard and Nike have already released the suits that he will wear first in the 1000 tournaments and then in the Slam tournament, with a completely different choice of colors. For the Masters 1000 in Montreal and Cincinnati, the choice fell on lilac for the shorts, while on light wisteria for the jersey.

The latter, however, has another detail: a large V is also printed on it in a slightly darker shade, a light gray. Present brighter colors, such as yellow for the drawstring of the shorts and the side stripes. In addition to the outfit for the 1000 tournaments, the outfit that Rafa Nadal will wear at Flushing Meadows has also been unveiled.

The shirt he will wear for the night session of the US Open will be burgundy, accompanied by black shorts. For the morning session, nothing has been released yet, but it is possible that the Spanish champion could use the outfit created for last year: a blue and white outfit was the choice.

The world number three, in fact, had decided not to finish his season after the semifinal lost at the Roland Garros against Novak Djokovic and to return only in 2022. Nadal's path to Wimbledon still came to a halt in the semifinal.

The Spaniard's last appearance at the All England Club was in 2019, when he pushed himself to the penultimate act of the tournament, losing to Roger Federer in four sets. With the stop due to the pandemic in 2020 and that due to personal physical problems in 2021, the Spanish number one has returned to London after three years of absence.

After a complex debut, the twenty-two Grand Slam champion made it through the first week, stopping again in the semifinals, but this time for retirement: a 7 mm abdominal tear forced him to forfeit before playing the match against Nick Kyrgios.
