Carlos Alcaraz answers if he is aiming for Big Three's Grand Slam titles numbers

Carlos Alcaraz has admitted that he is hoping to reach the Grand Slam titles numbers of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic. Alcaraz, who turned 20 in May, is a two-time Grand Slam champion. Meanwhile, Djokovic owns the all-time record with 23 Grand Slam titles - Nadal follows with 22 - Federer is the third with 20.

Alcaraz would like to reach those numbers but admits he would be happy if he accomplished half of the Big Three's Grand Slam success. "I hope to win as many titles as the three won [the Big 3]! I don't know... Probably with half of what they got, I could be happy with it.

So imagine... I hope to be at the same level as them," Alcaraz told L'Equipe, as revealed by We Are Tennis.

Alcaraz defeated Djokovic for his second Grand Slam title

Alcaraz, the 2022 US Open champion, lifted his second Grand Slam title this month after beating Djokovic in the Wimbledon final.

As a kid, Alcaraz dreamed of one day competing at Wimbledon and winning it all. After beating Djokovic at The All England Club - where the Serb has had lots of success throughout his career, Alcaraz described it as the happiest moment of his career.

"Well, right now, yeah, is the happiest moment of my life, that's for sure. Probably in five years will change (smiling). Right now, I'm 20, I didn't live too many situations like this, so I'm going to enjoy this moment. Making history that I did today, it's, yeah, the happiest moment of my life.

I think it's not going to change for a long time. Yeah, like beating Novak, winning the Wimbledon championship is something that I dream about since I started to play tennis. That's why is the biggest moment of my life," Alcaraz said after winning Wimbledon.

It remains to be seen if Alcaraz can defend his US Open title and finish the 2023 season with three Grand Slam titles under his belt.
