Rafael Nadal played tennis on an innovative continuously reshaping tennis court in his latest commercial for the car manufacturer Kia, which may have left a clue about the time Nadal will make a comeback to professional tennis from.

Here is what the Spaniard, currently recovering for a comeback in 2024, says during the commercial: "What if a car moved differently on the road? What makes a player a champion? What if the iconic structure of the tennis court was not so structured?"

Kia has been supporting Rafael Nadal since the start of his career.

"Kia has been by my side since I was 17 years old and has played a big part in my journey as a professional tennis player and as a person. I’m excited to see what the next five years bring both on and off the court,” Nadal said in the past.

Did the ad hint that Nadal will participate in the Australian Open

We can see that Kia's ad shows sequences from Melbourne, where the Australian Open is hosted. Rafa's uncle Toni also believes his nephew will be fit enough to compete at next year's first Grand Slam.

"But I believe that for the Australian Open, my nephew should be in good condition to compete, all going well, because I have seen him train. Every day he is improving a bit. It’s true that it has been a very long-term injury, but well, that’s how it is," Toni Nadal told Onda Cero.

Moreover, Nadal himself talked about a possible comeback in Australia. "My first realistic option to be back on the professional court would be January in Australia. But right now, I really can't confirm something I don't know.

Nothing has changed in the last few weeks except for the fact that I'm training a bit more than before, which is an accomplishment for me and my mental health," Nadal recently said during an event in Madrid.
