Fundamental news for the well-known ambitions of this tournament, fresh from a 2023 that was well below expectations. Many had underlined that, thanks to the forced absence of the Big Three, the tournament had lost appeal and among the new recruits the most important young players were missing, including Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
