Carlos Alcaraz won the highly anticipated The Netflix Slam, exhibition match broadcast by Netflix in which he defeated his legendary countryman Rafael Nadal.

The anticipation and expectations for this match were very high, especially to see Nadal on the court again, almost two months after the injury suffered at the Brisbane International.

Alcaraz defeated Nadal after almost two hours of play in a super tie-break with the final score of 3-6, 6-4, 14-12, in front of 10,000 spectators at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

"Congratulations to Carlos for a good match. And on a personal level, yes, fantastic. I haven't been able to play much in the last two years, so playing here with Carlos in front of a fantastic crowd in Las Vegas means a lot to me. I'm super happy. It was fantastic. I should have been here last year; unfortunately, due to some problems, I couldn't be here, I had a lot of fun," Rafa said after the match.

Nadal then talked about his young countryman Carlitos, spending beautiful words for him, underlining, jokingly, how he will not have to face Carlitos often on the court, but will continue to enjoy him as a fan.

"He has already won two Slams and a couple of very important tournaments. So yes, the good thing is that, as a player, I won't face him many times, but as a fan, I will continue to enjoy him for such a long time, hopefully.

It's a completely different generation. I think in Spain we should be very, very happy to have someone like Carlos coming in. You know, he's an extraordinary player at just 20 years old," Nadal analyzed.
