The much-feared decision has come 18 days prior to the start of the tournament. Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from Wimbledon with the same injury to his left wrist that forced him to withdraw from Roland Garros too, before his third round match.
Here is what Rafa wrote on his Facebook page: His left wrist will continue to be immobilised for a maximum of two weeks and after that once his cast his removed, he will start an anti-infiammatory rehabilitation and physiotherapy based treatment.
