Nadal Academy officially opened, Rafa/Solbas beat McEnroe/Wilander in a doubles match

Time for some exhibitions for Rafael Nadal. After the one played against Novak Djokovic in Milan on Thursday, the Spaniard player played in front of his home crowd (7.000 people in a packed central court), to officially open his academy, that has been welcoming thousands and thousands of kids since June.

Rafa paired up with the Young Mallorcan player Simon Bolbas, who replaced the injured Mats Wilander, and beat John McEnroe and Carlos Moya 6-3 3-6 10-8 despite the match was suspended for an hour because of the rain. 'Thanks to all and thanks especially to Carlos, who has been always so close in the most important moments of my career', said an emotional Nadal after the match.

''We will see whether I can play again in Manacor before the end of my career, whatever in Davis Cup or any other event. Hopefully it can be the first time of many. We have a prepared Centre both for tennis and for many other sports.' Here is the match point (jumping forehand winner by Nadal) and some pics:

The entry was free and Mallorcan people appreciated it a lot.
