Rafael Nadal's doctor: 'He has an inflammation but will be ready for the next season'

Angel Ruiz Cotorro, Rafael Nadal's doctor, reassured about the condition of the wrist of the Spanish player, 'who will be fully recovered for the beginning of next season. We already made a plan, the initial injury has been healed, now we have to take care about the infiammation that did not make him play comfortable', Cotorro said to Cadena Ser.

Toni Nadal thinks this is a right decision because Rafa needs to rest. ´It´s a bone odema that caused him pain', he said to Cadena Ser.

'We have speed up the recovery because we wanted to play Olympic Games, where Rafa played well. After US Open we had to take a break and instead played Davis Cup. Now the priority is to totally recover, we will start training again in order to prepare the first tournament of the year, Abu Dhabi exhibition, then we will go to Brisbane and Melbourne.´ Before going to Abu Dhabi, which takes place from 29 to 31 December and that will feature Milos Raonic and Andy Murray as well, Rafa will keep training in India where he will play International Premier Tennis League in early December.
