Mats Wilander believes that Juan Martin del Potro can do some damage against Rafael Nadal in the French Open semifinals on Friday. The former Swedish player previewed the upcoming match for Reuters, and he felt confident about the Argentinian's chances to reach his first final on clay in Paris.
'He is a nightmare opponent for Nadal', Wilander said about del Potro. 'He portrays someone who believes in himself as much as Federer, more than (Novak) Djokovic and more than (Andy) Murray.
Sometimes he gets fired up but has this calm about him that I think worries Nadal and Federer. They think, what’s he up to? Has he figured me out? He is tall so Rafa’s shots don’t bounce over his shoulder, he has big weapons, the serve which gives him free points and the forehand which is the biggest in the game and he can hit through Nadal’s forehand with it.
Delpo is not afraid of too many players in the world.' ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal admits the rain delay helped him
